I knew this day would come and it wouldn't be easy. I left today for my first business trip in Hawaii. I'll be gone 4 nights and back on Friday night. I left at 6am this morning so I said goodbye to a sleeping Cooper. It was probably easier this way than if he was awake. I know he is in great hands with Mark and the ladies at daycare.
I've been with him everyday and night for 4 months so hard to leave him. However, travel is a part of my job and I will have to make it work. Thankfully, things will be very busy while I'm gone and there isn't a lot of downtime. I planned the schedule to pack in as much as possible in each day so I can get back home. I did this B.C. (before Cooper) as well. This trip, I scheduled in time between meetings so I could pump. I want to keep breastfeeding and doing it while I'm out of town will be the most challenging.
