We decided to start sleeping train Cooper thru the Ferber Method. He just turned four months old and we are ready. The key is putting him down awake so he can learn to fall asleep and soothe himself. If he does cry- you wait to go in after 5 minutes, 10, 15 and so on. You reassure him that he's OK and we havent left by patting him but not picking him up. He falls asleep on his on at daycare so know he has it in him!
I took out the bumpers in his crib recently after reading some tragic articles. The crib looks pretty empty but it is now more safe. I hope I can return the bumpers to the store!
